Some changes are coming, and I’m excited to share more soon!
While I work behind the scenes to get everything ready,
I’m temporarily pausing new client intake.
I will begin accepting new clients again on October 1, 2026.
Current clients can continue to contact the office as usual.

Emily Young is a Huntsville native, attorney, educator, and lifelong problem-solver whose career has never followed a conventional path.
With a background in psychology and human development, Emily has spent more than two decades working across legal, educational, advocacy, and human-services settings. Her career has included research, litigation support, law-office operations, teaching, writing, community service, and nearly every seat in a law office before and after becoming an attorney.
Since 2017, Emily’s legal practice has focused primarily on elder law, estate planning, probate, and planning for individuals with special needs and their families.
Emily holds a psychology degree from Auburn University and a paralegal certification from Emory University. She earned her law degree cum laude from the Birmingham School of Law and later earned an LL.M. in Elder Law and Estate Planning from Western New England University.
That unconventional path has given Emily a perspective on the legal system that extends beyond simply practicing law. She understands how people enter the system, where they get stuck, what lawyers and organizations need in order to help them, and how much difference the right guidance at the right time can make.
Her approach is simple: understand the person, understand the problem, understand the system, and figure out what is actually needed.
Now, after more than 20 years of collecting experience from both inside and outside the traditional practice of law, Emily is bringing those pieces together in a new way.
A new chapter begins October 1.
